Complete Passport Service Guide

Everything you need to know about applying for a passport of the State of Eritrea.

Requirements for Passport Services

All applications must be submitted with the required documents. Incomplete applications may be delayed or rejected.

To apply for a new passport, applicants must submit the following documents to the Embassy:

  • Duly completed passport application form (download from website)
  • Scanned Eritrean National ID or Birth Certificate
  • Recent (6 months) 4 passport size photography 35 X 45 mm with white background.
  • Previous passport (if applicable)
  • Proof of legal stay – Residence Visa
  • Additional documents may be required in specific cases

After successfully completing the application process, the Embassy will contact you regarding the payment procedure and other instructions.

Passport Validity

Eritrean passports are valid for 5 years for adults and minors.

Lost or Damaged Passport
In case of loss or damage, please contact the Embassy immediately for assistance and further instructions.
