Requirements for obtaining an entry visa to the State of Eritrea

Applications for an entry visa to Eritrea will be processed once the following requirements are met.
Applicants are kindly urged to strictly adhere to these conditions to expedite the application process.

For Business and Employment Visa applicants, you must liaise with your host organization or business partner in Eritrea to initiate the visa application process through the Department of Emigration. Our Embassy does not entertain applications for Business or Employment visas unless approved by the Department of Immigration.

To apply for a tourist visa, applicants must submit the following documents to the Embassy via email at erinidia@yahoo.co.in:

Copy of the applicant’s passport (valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of the request)

Duly completed Entry Visa Application Form (downloadable from www.eritreaembindia.com)

Applicant’s CV and travel history.

After successfully completing the application process, our Embassy will contact you to inform about the payment and how to send the passport for the stamp visa sticker.

The visa fee will be communicated upon visa approval.
4.2
It is advisable to make the payment promptly as visas will not be issued until confirmation of payment receipt by our account officer.

Entry visa is valid only for one month from the date of entry to Eritrea, but it can be extended in Eritrea depending on the type of visa.

Applicants outside of India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Singapore, Nepal, Brunei Darussalam only Salm, Maldives, and Thailand can apply for their visa request by contacting the nearest Embassy of the State of Eritrea.
